17 weeks

17 weeks: Our Little Onion

To our baby girl: You are about the size of an onion. You are about 5.1 inches and 5.9 ounces. Your skeleton is hardening which is good. You should be mastering some simple reflexes such as swallowing, sucking, and blinking. You may even get hiccups. This week we went to the Strawberries Days Rodeo, to a slip-in-slide (we didn't get to go down), and it was Father's day! We are now staying the weekend at my sister for fun with her kids. Kaden's birthday is tomorrow so we are going swimming and having party! Right now I am sitting on Aunt Brooke's back balcony and the weather is so perfect. The sunset it beautiful! We are just talking with the family. This week is going to be another exciting week. I hope I get to feel you a little more. Sometimes it feels like there is a little fish inside just swimming around. I want to feel another kick I haven't since that one so come on girl! I finally feel like my stomach is looking a little pregnant not just chubby. I love you lots!

16 weeks

16 weeks: Our Little Avocado

To our little baby girl. I love avocados and you're now the size of one! You are about 4.6 inches long and weigh about 3.5 ounces. You are now able to hear my voice(you lucky duck.) Also your taste buds are forming. Dad said you are going to love sugar because last night I had a few pieces of candy and by few I mean about 20. Well we were supposed to find out what gender you were in about 3 weeks but I couldn't wait any longer so there are places you go and pay extra and they will tell you sooner. So I called around and we went to a place on Monday.. You are a GIRL! Dad wasn't able to be there because he is in dallas so we recorded it for him and had him on the phone. Grandma Jeanne, Aunt Mckenzie, Cousin Ellie, Courtney, friend Zoey, Angie, Uncle Matt, and Aunt Stephaine (was on the phone) were all there to find out with us. The tech said she was 97% positive we go to the doctors ultrasound in less then 3 weeks so that would be funny if they said different. Also, at the ultrasound you waved to us it was the most darling thing I have ever seen. I loved it and the tech took a picture it makes me smile everyday. This week we also saw all my friends here in Utah, played Tennis today, went running, road bikes, and just had a grand ol' time. Defiantly still missing daddy though. Oh yes and how could I forget. I felt you this week little missy! It was so fun I thought last saturday I could feel you but I just wasn't sure. Then Sunday came and I was just minding my own business in church when it felt like you flicked me inside it was the coolest thing that has happened ever. I have been waiting for that to happen again but it hasn't. I still just feel you fluttering around inside but I have to be laying down and not talking. Its the best feeling though. We have another exciting week ahead of us so be prepared!

I couldn't wait any longer so I called a couple places and found somewhere that would do a gender ultrasound early! We got some cute pictures I will post soon!

15 weeks

15 weeks: Our Little Orange

To our little peanut: You're getting huge! You are the size of a naval orange. Average size for you right now is 4 inches long and 2.5 ounces. This week we flew to Utah. Grandmas Thomas's funeral was on Monday. It was good to see the whole family again. Grandma left all the children, grandchildren and great-grand children a little present. She left you a jar a pennies. You are rich! I mean for a 15 week old I think you are starting out with more money then most. We are missing daddy a lot right now. Only 27 more days until we are back with him. Grandma Jeanne and your cousin Madison came with me to my doctors appointment in substitution of your dad. We got to hear your cute little heartbeat. I absolutely love listening to it, its my new favorite thing. Your heartbeat if you were wondering was 152, Grandma thinks that means you are a girl. We will see in 26 days if she is right. Everyone is now making their guesses on if you are a girl or boy. I think most people are guessing you are a girl. The Orem Summerfest is this weekend. We went tonight but because I am pregnant we were not able to ride any rides. Tomorrow is the parade and fireworks that will be fun with the family. I have yet to feel you wiggle but I am hoping soon enough. We have a busy week ahead of us doing a whole lot of nothing so get real excited.

14 weeks

14 weeks: Our Little Lemon

To our little peanut: You are the size of a lemon! You should be around 3.4 inches and 1.5 ounces! At this week you start sucking your thumb and wiggling you're toes. You even start making urine and breathing amniotic fluid as your liver, kidneys and spleen develop. Something called Lanugo is growing all over your body for warmth. 

Well this week I have started to struggle sleeping. Its hurts to sleep on my sides and your not suppose to sleep on your stomach or back so thats my only options. 

Your Great-Grandma Thomas passed away this past week on Wednesday June 1, 2011. She was 99 years old. She was your last Great-Grandparent. I am flying home in 2 days which is a couple days earlier then planned so I can attend the funeral. This week has been so hot here. We have been swimming everyday. This week at the pool we meet Ryan Cabrera (he was popular back when I was in high school) he was very nice and even let us get a picture with him. We found out today that my very good friend is pregnant!!! Wahoo! You are going to have a BFF just three months apart! We are very excited for that!! We finished our seventh season of Desperate Housewives this week (yes maybe we started the first season a month ago so what?) You are starting to crave sweets or maybe I am just in love with candy either way I am going to have to slow down. I am excited to hear your little heartbeat again next Wednesday. Keep growing strong!
